Washi tape Brit Kit DIY party

June's Brit Kit DIY party kit was washi tape fun.  We got everything needed to make washi tape coasters, bunting, and straw flags for a summer soirée.  We had a blast with this month's kit!  Here are a few pictures from the washi tape fun.

Eco-Tip:  Look for products that are packaged in recyclable containers.  The more we recycle the better we can keep virgin materials out of landfills.  Look for less packaging on items as well.  For this and other tips on going green visit, The Earth and Me Go Green.

Skylar's last day of third grade

And this past June ended Skylar's third grade year, as well as his last day in a public school.  We enjoyed saying goodbye to a lot of his favorite teachers and people throughout Pioneer School.  It was a happy, yet sad moment for the both of us.  Everyone has been super this year and with our coming move, it was a bitter-sweet moment for him.  Here is a recap of his last day.

We made a year-end gift for his teacher and she was so thrilled to receive it.

You can use this gift tag for just about anyone that has helped your child grow.  You can pick up the how-to from Skip to my Lou.

Skylar said goodbye to the school secretary and to his wonderful teacher.  She has been so great this year we will miss her dearly!

What a great year for my little Bean!

Eco-Tip:  When running large amounts of errands try to team up with friends or family and hit them all together in one trip.  It will help save on gas and carbon emissions.  For this and other tips on going green visit, The Earth and Me Go Green.

Eco-Tip:  Growing and eating your own food is a great way to go green.  Simple vegetables and fruits, or even berries can be started in your own area, no matter where you live.  Tomatoes work for tight spaces, and beans can work even inside your home.  Look into ways to grow something that you and your family can take advantage of this year; It's not too late!  For this and other tips on going green visit, The Earth and Me Go Green.
