A bit windy here today, but we are standing strong!

December 22, 2022

It's a bit icy here and chilly. We placed a light inside of our Little Free Library, so that the books light up for this picture. We would like to add one that is solar powered, but we haven't figured out quite what we would like, yet. Maybe one that is solar-powered that comes on only when the door is opened? We'll figure a good one out soon enough. For now, hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday and here's to hoping books were on your wish list this year!

Recent natural gas meter updates prompted our Little Free Library to spend some time staring at a backhoe and getting no visitors for awhile. We gave the LFL some love and cleaned it out and wiped down the handles and front window. Once they are done with the gas meter updates, and all this rainy weather is gone, we hope to add a few more things around the library to help boost its mood and anyone that comes to visit.

Peep our Little Free Library through the window. We are enjoying the last days of summer here and it's been quite a mild season compared to two years ago. We are happy that our LFL have brought so much joy to children and adults this year and if you were one of the visitors, we thank you for visiting us.

A new garland for our LFL and a room with a view. (Peek our Little Free Library) ☻

A quick cleaning while leaves fall from the trees around. Are we in summer still, or did we pass into autumn without us noticing? ☻

February 26. 2022:

Gave the Little Free Library a cleaning this week and a fresh coat of paint. We also painted the post the bell rests on and we love how it brings both the areas together.☻

November 20, 2020:

We still love the fact that we honored Baz in such a public way. He really was a great dog and it's nice to be able to know he is part of us still and we get to see him every time we leave the house and look at the Little Free Library. We have plans to put a lower hook and honor Meia with a "cat hook." And, an even lower one maybe eventually for the ducks. ☻

October 2, 2020:

We closed down our Little Free Library because of the Coronavirus pandemic and this week we decided to sanitize it and clean it to get it ready to reopen possibly before the end of the year.☻

June 19, 2020:

Was missing Baz a bit this week, but it's nice to be able to see our Little Free Library hook in his honor. It's even nicer to see people come to the little box, hook their dog's leash to the hook, and look through books. It really does make me smile. Baz loved walks and he, Skylar, and I have covered ever inch of this city. I cry when I think about those memories, because I'm sad that he is gone, but I can't help but delight in those memories, too. I miss him terribly and I know that he is watching me every day and helping me get through my roughest days, just like I helped him towards the end. My blog is dedicated to him and to my cat Meia and I will never ever forget them, or the mark they made on me and the world. They continue to leave that mark, even if it's through a small metal hook on the side of a wooden box.☻♥

November 17, 2017:

After months of contemplating it we decided to go for it and get our own Little Free Library. It's brought about a lot of kids and adults looking for free books to read and share.☻
