July Fourth 2022

Hope your July Fourth was a "blast." We spent a quiet day/evening at home and away from crowds. We needed some downtime, so July Fourth helped with that. We had picked up a few random sets of fireworks and we all enjoyed our own little street show. It was a good evening. Two days before on July 2, we headed to the beach, not to surf this time, but to walk along the sand and enjoy the ocean from afar. It's nice to spend some time at the coast just being there instead of in the water. We had a great two days bringing in America's 246th declaration birthday. Hope your Fourth was just as special.

An Evening of Cornhole

We spent Father's Day weekend playing cornhole, playing in the backyard, BBQing, and enjoying the day with Jeff. We even followed the official cornhole rules of play. It was almost a perfect day and with the sun being out and it not too hot, it was a weekend of love and fun.

Our garden and plants this year are giving me all the feels.

It was a good day.

New Year's Day Walk

We decided to start the 2022 year off right with a brisk walk around Salem's Waterfront Park. There were a lot of other people that had the same idea and with the sun out, it was a great day, and a great way to bring in the New Year with a fresh start. It's such a wonderful thing to know that, even on your hardest days you're here, already. It's a new year and you did it, you made it through. Even the hardest days that you, well we, had in 2021, we made it through. And to me, that's worth every second of happiness on January 1 each year. Happy New Year and here's to another year of making it through the hardest days and celebrating every step of the way~
