Five Simple Things (August 23)

 Hello.

Here are five things this week.

1. This dish.

Skylar and I love 'Ratatouille' the movie, and because of that he decided to attempt his own version of the dish. Not only is it a pretty dish, but I think he did excellent. The recipe we used was this one, and he replaced the bell peppers and put his own twist on the dish.

2. This run.

A little bit further.

3. These flowers.

Still keeping up the fresh flower vibes weekly.

4. This moon.

August 19 brought a great view of the full moon. This moon was the Sturgeon Moon, a rare Supermoon, and a Seasonal Blue Moon, so it was a special one.

5. This light.

The blue light makes for the perfect scene.

One last thing:

Our Geocache, "For Whom the Bell Tolls" is going strong.

Positive affirmations this week:
Be good to yourself, too.
You can do this!🌈

Have a nice weekend.

Brick Walkway (DIY)

Curb appeal is something that we are working on at our current house. We have slowly added improvements over the years, but there was still something missing. Since purchasing the school bus we were always walking across the front lawn and smashing the grass to get to the bus parked in the driveway on the side of our house. So, with some extra red bricks from The Home Depot and ones we already had, we created a curb appealing small walkway from our front sidewalk to the side of the house where we access the door of the bus. We think it came together nicely and we are looking forward to seeing how well it holds up from season to season.

Now to focus on the walkway between the house and the driveway. We will probably just lay white marble rocks around the stepping stones, but for now, we are liking how it's coming together.
