Skylar and I love 'Ratatouille' the movie, and because of that he decided to attempt his own version of the dish. Not only is it a pretty dish, but I think he did excellent. The recipe we used was this one, and he replaced the bell peppers and put his own twist on the dish.
2. This run.
A little bit further.
3. These flowers.
Still keeping up the fresh flower vibes weekly.
4. This moon.
August 19 brought a great view of the full moon. This moon was the Sturgeon Moon, a rare Supermoon, and a Seasonal Blue Moon, so it was a special one.
The last screw we removed this week from our bus. We have been steady going with bus conversion and we are pleased with how far we have come. You can follow our progress here and here.
2. This letter.
We received this letter from In-N-Out Burger today and we were floored. We had visited an In-N-Out Burger in Keiser, Oregon, just a week ago and had our order completely wrong. We think they got confused about which car was which and gave us the order for the car behind us. We normally park and use the lap mats and eat in the car. We went to open the bags and realized our order wasn't even our order. We also felt bad for the people whose order it was, because it seemed like meals for kids. We contacted In-N-Out Burger and let them know of the mix-up, so the location could know they were one, or maybe two cars off on orders. What came next was incredible. They were extremely apologetic and not only that, but they felt so bad they sent us three gift cards with a preloaded amount to get three replacement meals, no matter the size. This kind of customer service is what sets In-N-Out Burger apart. We were absolutely shocked at how much they did to make this right. As I type this out, I still can't believe they went this far to keep us as customers. Incredible!
3. This robe.
This set is from IKEA and it is perfect for using while cold plugging. I am excited to put it to use, especially this week.
4. This kitty.
She does love her catnip time.
5. This balm.
Badger is one of my favorite brands and this foot balm has been great for my toes and feet after getting out of the ocean, or wearing open-toed, and open-heeled shoes this summer.
One last thing:
This view always makes me happy. I am so proud of how much Skylar has put into furthering his education. His focus is paleontology right now, but he has talked of focusing on oceanography, and marine science. Whatever path he picks, we will be right there cheering him on the whole way!♥
