Life at a "Swell's" pace

We took a little trip to Jim's Fruit Stand in Corvallis and took in the sunny days and fruity smells. It was a great day to bask in the sunshine here in the valley and enjoy the good picks we found along the way.

Blue Jays are all over the place here in Oregon this time of year and since the big pine tree was cut down a few weeks ago, they have been looking for a new place to perch and ~~make their~~ steal a nest. These two Blue Jays were seen a few days in a row right outside my living room window, so instead of them stalking me, I stalked them. Ha!

Some find them annoying, but I like to watch them. Blue Jays are pretty clever birds and seek out what they need regardless of what's around. Even the neighbor cat doesn't hold them back.

Eco-Tip: Now is the time to start getting that garden or raised bed in order to grow your own vegetables and berries. Growing your own food from a garden is a great way to live a greener lifestyle and it also helps you eat better throughout the summer months.
